Hot Pants on Main Street

in the 1970’s  Hot Pants for young girls were the fashion rage. The reactions to the style were mixed among women and girls of all ages and also among men. On very attractive college senior decided to test people’s reactions on a nice sunny day in April of 1971. Attired in a pair of hot pants she strolled up and down Main Street over the noon hour with a photographer snapping pictures. The reactions were varied. Most older women surveyed did not approve while younger women and girls were going to get a pair themselves. The reactions from the male population was more than positive.
